Our Commitment to Confidentiality

Information shared during Narrative Life Review sessions, Personal Oral History Interviews, Reflective Life Conversations, Discovery Calls, and other services will be treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to others without your written permission, except when required by law.

Because Twilight Trails & Beyond, Co. provides non-clinical, educational, and reflective services rather than healthcare or psychotherapy, our services are not governed by the confidentiality laws that apply to licensed mental health providers. Nevertheless, we are committed to maintaining professional standards of privacy and discretion.

Recording and Documentation

​

Some services may include audio or video recording when agreed upon in advance. Recordings are created only with your knowledge and consent.

Depending on the service provided, we may also create:

​

• Session notes

• Reflection worksheets

• Narrative Synthesis Reports

• Legacy Reflection Summaries

• Interview summaries

• Transcripts (when requested)

 

These materials are prepared solely to support your experience and preserve your stories.

Storage and Protection of Information

​

Participant records and digital materials are stored using reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect against unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. Access is limited to Twilight Trails & Beyond, Co.

While every reasonable effort is made to protect digital information, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Ownership of Your Story

​

Your experiences, memories, and personal stories remain your own.

​

Any recordings, transcripts, written summaries, photographs, quotations, or other materials created during our work together will not be shared, published, presented, or used for educational or promotional purposes without your separate written authorization.

Use of De-Identified Information

​

With your permission, de-identified observations or generalized themes may occasionally be used for educational presentations, professional development, research, or publications. Any identifying information will be removed unless you have provided explicit written consent for attribution.

Retention of Records

​

Participant materials are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, fulfill agreed-upon deliverables, comply with applicable legal obligations, or support business recordkeeping. After the retention period, records will be securely destroyed or permanently deleted whenever reasonably practicable.
